This ratchet has 9 34, Bog Mfg. Co., and the model number stamped on the shaft, and the Patent number and "others pending" on the reverse.  This ratchet came as part of the Dandy Socket Set shown below.

Thanks to Bill300d for pointing out the fact that this ratchet should correspond to the first patent for this design that was filed by Mr. Hare in 1957 and awarded in 1960, due to the lack of the ball detent under the selector lever.  His revised patent was filed in 1960 and awarded in 1962.  This dates this particular example to between 1957 and 1960.
