P&C # 1248P. P stands for "use on pipe", because the jaws have teeth to grab pipe. There is a smooth jaw version out their (# 1248S) if one wants to grab chrome-plated items and not mar the finish.

The pivot pin has a plate and cammed bolt, with serrations 1/16" between them for very fine adjustment. Maximum opening is about 3". Proto also made a version, their #248.
